Venturebent is a compilation of musings about entrepreneurship, venture capital and life in the thriving New York City and Boston tech communities from Adam, NickAlex, and Scott – aspiring entrepreneurs, early-stage investment enthusiasts and disciples for the rising startup communities on the east coast.


Adam Besvinick is an aspiring VC currently advising three startups and is passionate about entrepreneurship and the NYC tech scene despite a recent stint as a banker. He is originally from just outside Philadelphia, graduated from Duke in 2009, and is entering Harvard Business School in fall 2011.

Nicholas Gavronsky is an aspiring entrepreneur, a creator, starter, hustler and lover of startups and tech. He grew up in South Africa and recently moved to NYC from Miami.

Alex is an aspiring entrepreneur, early-stage investment enthusiast and overall startup and tech addict.   He’s an avid learner with passions for visual design, personal development and music, along with an innate desire to just build.  Originally born in Lithuania, Alex immigrated to NYC in ’89,  grew up in Northern NJ. He graduated from Cornell University in ’06 with a degree in Industrial Engineering and currently resides in NYC as an active participant and evangelist for the local startup and tech community.

After a short stint in the sports agency world Scott caught the entrepreneurship bug and hasn’t looked back. After growing up in Philadelphia, he graduated from Princeton in 2010 where he studied Political Science and Economics. He is currently working on his startup http://sfter.com and is passionate about innovation, fitness, and his faith.
